What is the way in the current release (9.3.something) to support both DKIM and DomainKeys? About 50+% of our mail to Yahoo! is being permanently greylisted with an eventual NDR. After many rounds of discussions it turns out Yahoo! still only supports DomainKeys validation and not DKIM. Non-whitelisted servers without DomainKeys headers are put in the greylist bucket -- which really doesn't work very well. Even 15 retries often isn't enough.

In case anyone else is dealing with this, I'll emphasize that we are running only one domain on our IP. We are a private company. There is no commercial or bulk emailing of any kind. We are not on any RBL. We have proper SPF, rDNS, DKIM implemented. Doesn't matter to Yahoo!: you either have DomainKeys in your message header or you must be a spammer. I obviously view this as reprehensible conduct from a company that apparently cares about as much for it's customers as for it's shareholders (I'm neither, thankfully). But it is what it is and I have to deal with it.

If I have to take the hit to generate two encryptions I'll do that, but I have to do something.

Hi, Ergodic

This has been a long discussion in previous forum. Merak doesnt support Domainkeys anymore (unless you find some way or convince IW of this feature request), only DKIM which has surpassed Domainkeys.

But this is strange, me and dozens of our customers use Merak and have no issues sending mail to Yahoo, so I dont this should be a necessity. The fact is Yahoo and Hotmail are the worse systems to send mail to (Hotmail simply deletes msgs after received in many cases, generating no bounce backs).  Yahoo has a system where users complain about spam, it seems, and if it reaches a certain number they block you. There are tons of sites on the web complaining about their insane policies...

Good luck and remember you have the SMTP/Routing option in Merak, so y ou can route emails to Yahoo via some other SMTP until you solve the problem.

Regards,
Marcio

hey ergodic i too am having the same exact problem with yahoo. for me it appears to be more than 80% of my yahoo mail gets greylisted and 90% of those NDR. I too would like to just bit the bullet and implement domainkeys, but i guess i can't.
I am not on any RBL, no spammers either. I have about 40+ domain names on my server.
