I need to import a list of email addresses to a new mail list. I don't see the parameters to do this using TOOL, and my earlier attempts to paste from the clipboard into a text file caused the maillist to fail (I must have used incorrect line-feeds or something at the end of each line). I ended up adding addresses one by one - quite a pain.

Can someone tell me how to use TOOL for this, OR how the text file should be delimited so I can create it from scratch?

Hi, Kogo

Its easy, just copy and paste into the mailing list text file. You can also use a mailing list with ODBC database, so you can make your script directly write into the database.

The easiest syntax is one email per line. There are other variations you can see in f1 help.

Such as

John doe <johndoe@gmail.com>

Or if you want to have parameters like persons name so you can refeir to it in body of msg such as Hi, {{name}}

John doe <jondoe@gmail.com>;;name=John&

If you want to use name in body of message in brackets, see the option Personalized mailing list - variable fields.
