I'm using 9.3.2 and have just started reviewing Groupware features. I created a meeting, invited someone from my address book and checked the box to Send invitation. When it arrived in the recipient's mailbox (IMAP via Outlook) it appeared as follows:

As you can see, the .ics file has not been attached by encoded inline. The email arrived as plain text.

Any ideas as to why this might have happened?

I think this is one that you're going to have to send to support and have them correct it. Last word I heard was that the webmail-based groupware calendaring functions didn't work.

Let us know what you discover, if you do.

Hi, guys

IMIP invitations work fine for us. Maybe its some Outlook issue. Really best to troubleshoot, test in Webmail, other email client and contact support.
