Apologies if this has already been posted, but have searched and unable to find answer.

Have set up and have all working, but due to Port 25 being blocked on ISP, am going through ISP server and working fine.

Am able to send & receive e-mails no problems.

The question I have though relates to User Account I have set up and retrieving e-mails sent to that account.

As I had to set it up to go through ISP server I'm unable to find, see, locate & or setup mail client to retrive those e-mails sent to that user Account e-mail address.

Can I please ask how to do this?

Thank you..:)

Not sure if I understand your question, but if ISP blocks port 25, then use backup port 366.

OK I haven't tried that port yet but as I said have set it up and running via ISP mail server, but am struggling to understand how to retrive e-mails sent to Icewarp User Account E-Mail address?

EDIT: Port 366 is also blocked by ISP.

Hi, Intrepid

Youre using remote accounts? Maybe thats the way for you to go, you download mail using remote accounts (like an email client) and forward to local Merak accounts. Check manual about this. You could also use ETRN/ATRN if supported by server where accounts are.

Also you can change 366 port by double clicking in System/Services/SMTP.

Now to download mail from your merak accounts all you do is set up in the email clients the IP of your server, username, password, etc. Or use webmail (http://localhost:32000).

Hope it helps.

Regards,
Marcio

Thanks for the reply Marcio but that's what I've been trying to do, using remote account ie: Outlook Express, Thunderbird, but unfortunately the POP3 details aren't working with either the remote details or the ISP's details, so I don't know what to do sorry.

I know where the area is to change Port Number but as I said above that Port 366 is not open by the ISP so can't use that either.

:(

Hi, Intrepid

My pleasure to try to help. Well, so you setup a remote account to fetch mail from your ISP and forward it to a local account in your Merak, right? And it didnt work? Activate POP3 debug logs and check the pop logs, to figure out whats going on... Also I suggest you increase POP3 out as the default is just 1 simultaneous outgoing connection.

Really strange that your ISP blocks basically all ports, usually 366 is a way out. Usually they let you use port 25 but just with their SMTP. Or else how would you send mail out? :) So you should be able to relay with authentication (see f1 help for syntax) your mails out to your ISP's SMTP.

Or maybe find an alternative like setup a server in a datacenter or such.

Hope its helps.

regards,
Marcio
