Hello,

we want to move out Merak Mail Server 9.3.2 running on Win2003Server from one host to another. What is the easiest way to do this, including minimum downtime.

There are 230 domains stored on the server and at least a thousand users (not sure, maybe much more). The Accounts are stored in a SQL-database on a MS SQL Server.

My thoughs are to do it in the following order:

set additional MX-RR pointing at the new host
install the server on the new host
copy the settings and the user database to the new host, because these are static (are they?). How can i manage this?
copy the mails and the webmail-content. This is where i really get stuck, because these files (especially the mails) change constantly. Can i handle this with shadowcopy/robocopy? There are over a million files in the mail-folder, the size is around 20GB. (or maybe more, Explorer hasnt finished counting yet (-; )
