Hi,
I am trying to set up push email, have Funambol version 7.0.8 on my HTC TTny if I set to scheduled connection every 15 minutes. Connects and download email no problem. If I set to push then nothing occurs.

I am stuggling to understand push email do I require to have an SMS client to send a text message to the phone?.
I orginally thought that push email did not require sms, have set up an http sms connection and if I send email to sms eg <sms:079xxxx> email to text works fine. But still no push email.

be most obliged for any help insight to solving this problem. Merak version is 9.3.2

An update and hopefully someoone can help occasionally the mail is pushed without sending an SMS message. So I don't think push requires an SMS messsage.

In the SnyML log get the following message the mail is not pushed in the following case
SYSTEM          [15C8] 19:12:18 RAW push notification:GroupWare;john.mcclymont@mcclymont.me.uk;add;item;395664ea3730;Events;395655f52002;ID=%2B
SYSTEM          [15C8] 19:12:18 --Try to add notification (account:john.mcclymont@mcclymont.me.uk, folder:Events, except device:+)

In this one it does
SYSTEM          [14C0] 16:20:38 API push notification (account:john.mcclymont, folder(s):inbox;, device:ID=%2B, operation:remove)
SYSTEM          [0438] 16:21:11 Empty queue

I have no idea why one says raw push and the other is api push.

Does anyone have push email working ?

Hi, Jolly

Not sure about those logs, would have to check with support. All I know is Merak currently supports push AFAIK only via SMS (there are instructions in the manual for download at icewarp.com), which I believe will change in future version.

If you want mail push you can also use IMAP which has IDLE, essentialy a way to show emails as soon as they arrive (push).
