Hi,

Is it just me or was there a timeout added in 9.3.2 for webmail?

Hi, Dan

Afaik the session timeout is really high, something like 6 hours, before it was shorter.

Marcio

Yes, it does sound in the 6 hour ballpark.

Reason I'm asking is that I had asked support about a timeout and was told there wasn't one in webmail pro(2 versions ago...2-3 months).  I just noticed a timeout had occured by chance after performing latest update.

Anyways, no big deal, I just feel safer when my session eventually times out.

Regards,

Dan

Hi, Dan

Strangely however, this 6 hour timeout isnt working for me... Maybe something related to my Load balancer settings or something. If I keep it open after like 10 minutes, session times out. The 6 hour timeout is working ok for you? BTW, maybe there could be a Feature request for us to be able to change such setting. For me 6 hours seems fine, but some sysadmins might want it shorther...

regards,
Marcio

Strangely it timed out a couple of times for me but it does not seem to be a regular thing.  It's probably related to some outside factor.  So, no it does not seem to be working for me(sorry for misleading in above posts).

I did inquire this with support and at that time there were no plans in adding the feature(I didn't 'feature request' it though).  I would feel safer with some control over timeout but with our organization's size, I'm not that worried(25 accounts across 2 domains).

Hi!

Yep, I found the issue was the persistance layer 4 setting in my load balancer, had to set it to 6 hours instead of the 15 min. it had set. Now all is ok.

True, it does sound like a good feature request, 6 hours timeout for me is also fine, but might be too much for some and would be nice to have control. Maybe we can add that feature request on the forum.

regards,
Marcio
