bilbus -> Installing x64 (9/16/2008 4:36:05 AM)

Ok so i installed Icewarp on my new dual quadcore x64 server with 8gb ram.

It installed the software in program files (x86) ... does that mean that icewarp is not x64 native?

Can icewarp use all 8gb and all 8 cores?

[8|]This would most likely be better answered by sending a ticket to Icewarp using http://esupport.icewarp.com.
Please post any answer you get here though for reference [8|]

No, it is 32 bit software at the moment. But IceWarp is multi-threaded and can therefore use all of your cpu cores. And I hope it never requires more than a few MB of memory!

But certainly you can install 64 bit database software (that you use in conjunction with IceWarp) or other useful services which really need more than 2 GB of RAM.

This server was going to be an exchange 2007 server, so we bought acordingly.

We decided to hold off on exchange until next year.
